The following is an announcement from NorthStarUK's trustees.
As you may be aware, NorthStarUK was established in 1999 by Steve and Lyn Richards. At the time, it was owned by them. In 2002 Steve and Lyn gave NorthStarUK to a charity called the Veritas Trust to administer and manage the work.
The Veritas Trust has owned and administered NorthStarUK for the last nine years. After considerable discussion and prayer, the trustees of the Veritas Trust have decided that the time is right to bring the work of the Trust to an end. This decision has been taken for two main reasons -
1. An ongoing difficulty in recruiting suitable trustees;
2. A feeling amongst the trustees that the work of NorthStarUK no longer required that the organisation continue to run as a charity.
The Veritas Trust will therefore cease trading from the 31st July 2011 and is no longer taking enrolments. This effectively means that NorthStarUK will cease to exist as a legal entity and will also cease trading.
Steve and Lyn Richards plan to continue the work that they originally established in 1999 offering a full range of online courses under the new trading name of NorthStarWorldwide.
